If I could give this location zero stars I would. This company, especially this location, is complete and utter trash. The location has poor time management skills. I had to wait an absurd amount of time for a vehicle that I reserved. They did not clean it prior to me leaving and asked if I just wanted a coupon to get it cleaned. The day I returned the vehicle, the employee working had a terrible attitude. She screamed at my friend to move behind a certain car who was waiting in my personal vehicle. My friend had no idea what that was, which infuriated her. Besides this, this employee stated that I smoked in the vehicle. She first said that there were ashes in the ground and in the cup holder. I explained to her that it was protein powder that I guess I had missed cleaning up. At then starts rambling about how it smelled like smoke as well. I explained to her that I have never smoked a day in my life and there was no one smoking in the vehicle. My friend told her that he would taste the powder to show her that it was in fact protein powder. Instead of talking about this with me, she states that I’ll have to speak to the manager. That’s fair, so I go inside to wait. We wait for 30 minutes and the woman asks why we’re waiting. I told her to speak to the manager. She then tells me, “oh, she comes in on Monday.” So I wait until Monday and call the location up. The manager did not call me before charging me the $300 fine. She stated that when she opened the car up, she could confirm it was ash and that it smelled like smoke. She also explained that it takes 48 hours for them to get it professionally detailed and get the air filter replaced. On that very day, I called the general customer support number and they said all they could do at that point was take $150 off and that I could call someone higher. The next day, I notice my account had been charged $300, not $150 as we agreed. I call corporate and they said the notes were in there but they still needed to put the $150 deal through. So they did and I asked to be tranfered to their supervisor. This lady was helpful, but she unknowingly confirmed my suspicion that this location is scamming people. This lady explained to me that the charge is justified because the vehicle wasn’t rented out for 4 days. The district manager at the Valparaiso location did not check the vehicle until that Monday. Well, the car was sent out less than 24 hours after the manager had looked at it. So either they are lying or the issue wasn’t nearly as bad as they were portraying it to be. I have photographic evidence and I have the protein powder in question as well. Do not give your business to this company or this location unless you want awful customer service and you want to be scammed.
Made a reservation online 8 days ago, will not rent vehicle to me once I get there, they don’t know why their system won’t allow it, wow, horrible service!
Always great and quick service. Brittany is very helpful, and I always go to this location whenever I'm in town and need to rent a car.
