My experience here has been awful. Very unprofessional! The hygienist I saw before the Dr was very condescending and rude. She was poking my gums with a sharp tool then got upset when I nearly jumped of the chair in pain. And that's not including her rude comments. The Dr himself was great. The insurance and billing dept have been the worst. It's like they assume that since I have Medicaid, the services I need will not be covered. My insurance insists that they are covered and gave me the billing code to give them. They aren't even trying! They sent in a prior authorization when it wasn't even needed. They are just assuming I can't afford what I need to get done.
This place is simply amazing! Everywhere else I have been the staff would be rude and unprofessional. The staff here was amazing and not rude at all! Very happy people and great experience. Will keep going and start taking my kids as well!
I moved from Chicago and needed to find a new dentist and I am happy to have found Valparaiso Family Dentisty through a recommendation:I this is a great practice. The staff is helpful --especially in accommodating schedules. The clinicians are thorough and friendly. Additionally, they were able to fit me in urgently after I chipped a tooth a few months ago. I highly recommend this practice.
Always friendly and I'm comfortable during a filling. I hate the dentist! I talked to them about that and they took good care of me! I bring my children here.
I was going to take my children, but I will not. I don't want to claim discrimination because I am black, but I can't think of any possible reason why I have been treated so terribly. I left a lot out but I definitely did not feel welcome.
I signed in. For my cleaning and exam and was completely ignored for almost 20 minutes before I had to go up to the counter and ASK for help. They had completely skipped me and taken back other patients who arrived AFTER me. I will be looking for a new dentist in the future.
