As for the whiners who apparently want top dollar for their sale items-- have a garage sale and see what you get. It's an AUCTION, people. The prices realized depend on the buyers who attend that night and what the buyers are willing to spend. We examine the thorough online photos prior to each auction to get an idea of what interests us. The auctioneers frame each sale to fetch the highest price, but, ultimately, it's the buyers who determine how high they will bid. Consignors surrender their control over price when they elect to not sell the stuff themselves. Give me a break. Kraft auctions draw enormous crowds. If you crybabies aren't happy with the prices Kraft obtains, do you really believe the smaller auctioneers, with much smaller mailing lists, will fetch you higher prices?
Yes, Kraft Services came to my house 4 weeks after my initial call to pick up my items. I had everything boxed together and was told they would separate items before auction. But...No...this did not happen. The items sent were sold in their boxes. I had Waterford crystal, Royal Dalton porcelain, antique dolls, vintage dolls from the 50's and 60's, over 200 vinyl 33's ....the list goes on and on. After the contract was signed, no communication. I had no idea when the auction would take place. If I had known the auction date (they told me one possible date, but then sold my items earlier), I could have posted on social media to let friends and family know about the sale ...but, I got no correct information.
I also inquired about the possibility of selling my home through their company. They sent a teenager to my house to peek into (while picking up my initial boxes) my house and tell me whether he felt it was worthy enough for them to sell! Then, when I kept telling them that I would not auction my home unless I set a reserve price, Kraft Auctions quickly lost interest.
Must not want my money or business! I have been trying to get more information for 2 weeks about A couple of vehicles going up for auction in a large county-school auction in Gary next month! I sent the first email asking about one van. I asked year and model or maybe a vin number so i can look up the info myself. All i get in a responce was vehicles being sold as parts not running. I sent an email back saying that was fine but still want more info! 2 weeks no responce. I sent more emails asking same thing and no responce. Even left voice mails and still no rrsponce. So i cancled my hotel reservation and will do my business elsewhere. I feel bad for the school that they are selling for. They probably get more money for the dozens of vehicles they have if they would do more than take 1 picture of each and put no specifications of the vehicles. Year, make, model, vin, miles, and maybe running condition and whats wrong with them! Seems the person who is responcible for the auction is lazy and does not care for thier customer they are representing.
I again made phone calls about a second set of items I wanted picked up for auction. Began my calls in June (they did call back, but I was out), made repeated calls throughout July and August ...no communication. Even sent an email to their website ...no communication back.
I knew they would take 50% off the top, but they sold my items for practically nothing!
My check ...I cried!
The folks associated with the Kraft auctions are consistently the most courteous, friendly and flexible auction staff I've ever worked with. Their auctions are fun and exciting with plenty of diversity of merchandise to keep us coming back. As a regular buyer, i feel their prices are fair and i appreciate their on-site staff who volunteer to load heavy items for me, (and enabling me to buy large items.) Kraft auctions are fun and provide our family with an interesting night out. True, we usually spend much more than we had intended, but we always find unique items that we treasure! Keep up the great work, folks! We go to lots of different auctions- yours is BY FAR THE BEST.
Btw- I bought many of those salt and pepper shakers you are bemoaning. Want them back?
I have always had a wonderful experience buying and selling. The owner and his employees are kind , honest and caring!!! My husband and I have always been treated like rock stars.
If there was a "zero" star, then I would have rated them that low! I have used auction companies in the past, but nothing prepared me for the terrible experience I had with Kraft Auction Services.
Again, if I had known the date there were so many friends/family who would have attended to bid and purchase. Such a shame!
Stay alway from this auction, they sell you something supposedly working. And when you complain they only want to give partial refund, and do not want returns. for something that is broken, I paid extra for something thinking it was in good running order. Stay clear they are cheap
So ...NO, I do not recommend this Auction service at all.
