They failed to return my phone call when inquiring about a stray cat (clearly domestic) dumped on our property. Very irresponsible people told us to stop feeding her in -1 degree weather.
We adopted our cat from this shelter and they were great. The staff was helpful and we were approved and walked out with our kitty in maybe an hour or two. They definitely care for the animals as their housing for them as great!
Long story short this place is a joke... my grandmother and I were looking to adopt a cat. First off you have to fill out a 5 page adoption form just to touch the cats, what do you guys think we are going to take off running with them and steal them? 2nd of all you can’t tell us if the cat is okay with dogs? What if we got one and it hid every second of the day because it was scared, that is not a life for a cat! 3rd you denied are application because we decided to let are old cat fill full it’s life! When are old cat was a kitten we got it declawed, BECAUSE my grandmother has very expensive furniture in her house! NO we did not do it to torture it! This cat had the most amazing bond with my grandfather it was unbelievable, but unfortunately it started to wet in the house. So we took him to the vet spent hundreds to see if there was something wrong him, nope nothing. Well we finally sat down with are vet and talked, he specifically told us if you can find a barn or a farm for him do it! It was better than putting him down! My grandfather has a friend that lives on a farm so we took him there, he had a nice cat house in there, food and water twice a day! He is living good! And you denie us for doing that?? You would rather us put him down, if we put on that app that we killed him that would allow us to adopt?? That’s messed up! Y’all can kiss my ass! I guess you don’t want your animals to be adopted!
Staff rude and not helpful when we brought in a found badly injured cat. Went as far as bringing law enforcement as back up when we were just inquiring what to do with cat. Told to just let it loose. Would NEVER consider adopting or donating any more money to this organization EVER AGAIN!!
Maybe this organization needs to take further measures in educating the community on spaying and neutering animals and the responsibility of pet ownership. The problem is that they didn't seem to know or care enough about the issue themselves. It's a disgrace.
Nice staff friendly. Very clean and organized
