I've taken my dogs to them a number of times. The last 3 times there has been an incident. Once there was a large cut on one of my boys, then one got kennel cough even tho he had his Bordetella vaccination....but this last time was the topper. My boy was limping when I picked him up and both of them were so excited to see me that I decided to check his foot out when I got home instead of right there...that was mistake! One of the pads on his foot was torn half off!! . He can't even use his foot. I have called them three times since and sent them text and cannot get them to respond or give me at least a courtesy call back to let me know what happened. Better figure in vet bills when you board there. It was an extra $110 for Kennel cough treatment and $138 this last time for wound treatment. Plus my boy has to take it easy for a few weeks because it takes a long time for a pad to heal. I would think they could have at least called back or answered my texts. Very rude and unprofessional!!
We have boarded our beagles with Doug and Jean Reeves for many years. To say that we're particular about their care is an understatement. I can unequivocally state that our pets have been treated at Royal Acres as they are treated in our home - with compassion, care, and diligence. There is no better boarding facility in Northern Indiana, and we have toured them all.
Very pleased! My dog was immaculately groomed when I picked him up. He'd had a bath and his nails clipped. They even brushed out all his stubborn shedding clumps. He boarded there a couple days and was in high spirits when I retrieved him. He really seemed to enjoy his time here playing with the other dogs, as well as the staff. Definitely a great value opting for the bath n nail clipping along with boarding. Will certainly board him here again with confidence.
I have been bringing my dogs for about 5 years now, and have always had a good experience! They have helped me out so much in the past when I have been in a bind and needed my "kids" cared for with barely any notice. So thankful for Royal Acres!
Tommy, our shepherd mix, was fostered by Miranda and we were able to adopt him because our local animal shelter knew we were looking for an easy going dog who was not a puppy. We have been bringing him to Reeves ever since and Tommy always looks very happy when we start to gather his things together for his vacation at Reeves.
