Also be aware that the lab next door is not part of CDI and simply shares the building with them. The lab is fantastic and I've had no issues there. However, one day (before I knew this) I came in and the door to the lab was locked. I stepped next door and asked at CDI if they were closed and the receptionist said "yes, they lock the door at 3:45 and stop taking patients." I started to say "oh, it's just your website says they close at 5" but I didn't even finish my sentence when the receptionist dramatically threw her hands to her chest and exclaimed "not MY website." I hadn't raised my voice or altered my tone, I was simply expressing confusion. I didn't mean she was personally responsible for the information, and told her as much.
Do not go here! They charged me $2500 for an ultrasound of the testicle. They misdiagnosed me and said nothing was wrong. Went to an ER in portage same ultra sound they charged me $200 and found the issue. Place is a ripoff.
We have had multiple xrays & scans done here over the years. Every time we go in we walk away impressed. The staff is friendly, efficient and very kind. When one of our children was having the scan they made sure he was comfortable and explained everything to him. We would definitely recommend them and will continue to use them for our family.
It's really a mixed bag at CDI. My first concern is that the reception area isn't windowed-off from the waiting room so you can hear all the receptionists' discussions with and about patients. I can only hope no one has overheard any of my private health information.
Given that my experiences here have been more frustrating than pleasant, even at a somewhat minor level, I prefer to do my testing elsewhere. I take my privacy very seriously and the first point about the reception area is a huge concern for me.
I've had a few tests done here and while most of them went fine, the MRI did not. The technician who was performing it, after each several-minute phase of the MRI, would say "how are you doing in there we're going to start the next phase it's six minutes here we go" without even pausing to hear my answer. I spoke up at least twice asking her to lower the music blaring in my ears and she did not hear me because she just went ahead and began the next section. It was frustrating.
I had 3 MRI's on one day. The staff were courteous, informative and very friendly. They helped me to feel comfortable and apologized when we had to wait a short time for my disc afterwards - even giving us a gift card to make up for the wait! Appointments were made accommodating my schedule and during a convenient hour. I would NOT hesitate to use this staff and facility again. The facility is very clean and conveniently located just off of Rt 49 and LaPorte.
