In 1987 I was at deaths door with Viral Meningitis when I arrived at our local hospital where this doctor available to save my life. Dr. Silberman is a no nonsense, lets get it done and done right doctor. In all these years since, he was in my mind, the best Neurologist that I had ever been cared for by. Today he takes care of my diabetic neuropathy needs better than any other doctor as well. Today I have an appointment and as always I go with slightly rounded shoulders because he is bald faced honest without any second of hesitation. Sometimes we need this to get out of our own way.
Doesn't listen, treats you like garbage, berates you and your doctors (calls them idiots), and has a bedside manner/treatment that makes you want to head for the door--only you'll find a list of all the things they charge you for which makes you not want to leave as you'll still have to pay--but in cash instead of through insurance.
IT IS VERY IMPORTANT THAT YOU READ ALL OF THIS BEFORE SEEING THIS "DOCTOR" I only put one star because I had to put something in order to write this review. I had went to see this "neurologist" after almost being declared brain dead in the hospital after a grandmal seizure. They said that he was very thorough and had gotten great reviews somehow. He took one look at my previous AEEG and said that I faked it. He wanted to put me in a mental hospital. I have a caregiver, which is also my spouse, that goes everywhere with me. Sometimes she has to talk to my doctors for me because I just can't remember and stay in a confused state. But this "doctor" is very sexist. She said one thing to him and he told her to shut up! I am now seeing a neurologist. One that cares. She is having to switch my medicine all around because come to find out one of my medicines is fighting the other. Because of him, I am now having seizures every 10 to 15 minutes. He wanted to have me locked up in a mental hospital. The last time that I saw him he said be right back and never came back. He doesn't care!! They just called me today and said that they were going to deny one of my medicines just when I am trying to get them all straightened out so that I don't have a seizure and become paralyzed when I have my emergency survey on my spine! I got a little upset and started raising my voice a little just because it is my life that he's playing with. The receptionist on the phone said sarcastically, "I see know why he treated you like he did" and then stood up for him. My new neurologist told my family to prepare because I am about to have another grandmal seizure and will not live through it this time. All thanks to this so called neurologist. I CAN'T STRESS IT ENOUGH. IF YOU VALUE YOUR LIFE, DON'T GO TO HIM!!
